For years Delighted was the default answer to "which NPS tool should we use?". It was simple, it sent a good-looking email, and the score showed up on a dashboard the next morning. Qualtrics, which owned it, shut Delighted down on June 30, 2026, and the delighted.com domain now forwards to a Qualtrics page saying the product is no longer available. A lot of teams are choosing a replacement right now, and many of them have not looked at this market in five years.
It has changed. Email is no longer the only channel that matters, free plans have become much smaller, and several tools now price by active users or by responses instead of by emails sent. Below is what to check before you pick, then ten NPS tools that are current today, with the prices each vendor publishes. Every price below was checked on the vendor's own pricing page on September 23, 2026.

How to choose NPS software
Almost every tool on this list can ask a 0 to 10 question and work out the score. The differences are in where the question reaches people, what happens after they answer, and how the bill grows. Five questions sort the list quickly.
Where are your customers when they have an opinion?
Channel decides response rate more than anything else. Retently studied 25 million survey invitations sent by 600 ecommerce brands during 2025, and in their study email surveys averaged a 3.24% response rate against 32.34% for in-app surveys. NPS on its own averaged 4.5% across channels. If your customers log in to a product, ask them there. If they buy from a website, ask on the site after the purchase. If they visit a clinic or a shop and never log in to anything, you need SMS, WhatsApp or a kiosk. Email still has a place for customers who have stopped visiting, which for a churn question is sometimes the point.
How far does the free plan go?
Free plans here range from nothing to a trial dressed as a plan. Survicate, Refiner and SatisMeter each give 25 responses a month for free. Contentsquare gives 100. Retently, Simplesat and Zonka Feedback offer a 14-day trial, and AskNicely offers no trial at all. Twenty-five responses is enough to test the setup, not to run a programme, so read the free tier as a demo unless your volume is tiny.
Does it ask why?
A score without a reason is a number you cannot act on. Check whether the tool has a comment box, whether you can add a follow-up question that depends on the score, and whether it summarises open text for you. AI tagging of comments is now common, and it matters once you have more than a few dozen answers a month.
Can you close the loop?
Closing the loop means someone contacts the detractor, and ideally someone asks the promoter for a review. Look for alerts to Slack or email on low scores, a way to assign a response to a person, and a CRM or helpdesk integration if that is where your team works. Then check what happens to the 9s and 10s. Most NPS tools stop at the score. A few route promoters to a review site or a testimonial form.
What does one response actually cost?
Divide the entry price by what it includes. Survicate's Growth plan is $114 a month billed yearly for 250 responses, which is about 46 cents a response. SatisMeter is $199 for 1,000 responses, about 20 cents. Simplesat is $109 a month on yearly billing for 1,000 responses, about 11 cents. Watch the unit, too. Retently's plans count surveys sent, so its 2,500 a month on the $99 plan is not 2,500 answers. Refiner counts monthly active users and includes unlimited responses, so a product with many users and few surveys pays for the users.
The 10 best NPS tools in 2026
1.Survicate
Best for one tool across every channel- Free plan:
- 25 responses a month, 1 active survey
- Paid from:
- $114/mo billed yearly (250 responses)
Survicate is the closest thing here to a general-purpose feedback platform that still takes NPS seriously. Every plan gets website popups, in-product surveys, built-in email sending and a mobile SDK, so one tool can ask the same question wherever the customer is. The free plan is thin: 25 responses a month, one active survey and 30 days of data retention. Growth starts at $114 a month billed yearly for 250 responses, and Pro starts at $349. Pick it if you need several channels and do not want several vendors.
- Email, website, in-product and mobile SDK surveys on every plan
- Built-in email sending
- SDKs for iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter and Unity
2.Retently
Best for ecommerce NPS by email- Free plan:
- 14-day trial, no card
- Paid from:
- $99/mo (2,500 surveys a month)
Retently is the most direct replacement for the way many teams used Delighted: a scheduled NPS email to the customer list, with reporting and topic analysis on the way back. Its Ecommerce Basic plan is $99 a month for 2,500 surveys, 10 campaigns and 3 seats, and Ecommerce Pro is $299 for 20,000 surveys with API access. It also lists link, embedded, in-app and kiosk surveys. There is no free plan after the 14-day trial. B2B pricing sits on a separate tab and was not shown publicly when we checked.
- NPS, CSAT and CES campaigns
- Email, link, embedded, in-app and feedback button surveys
- 10% off with yearly billing
3.Simplesat
Best for support teams in a helpdesk- Free plan:
- 14-day trial with Elite features
- Paid from:
- $119/mo, or $109/mo billed yearly
Simplesat is built for customer support. A survey goes out automatically when a ticket closes, agents see the feedback on the ticket without another login, and support agents are unlimited on every plan. Standard is $119 a month, or $109 on yearly billing, for 1,000 responses and 5 account users. Pro is $249 and Elite is $499. If your NPS question is really "how was support?", this is the tool that fits the workflow best.
- Integrations with Zendesk, Gorgias, Intercom, Freshdesk and Gladly
- Unlimited support agents on every plan
- 1,000 responses a month on Standard
4.Shapo
Best for small businesses and SaaS that also want testimonials- Free plan:
- 1 survey, collects every response, shows the first 10
- Paid from:
- $29/mo, or $290 a year
Shapo is our product, so weigh this entry accordingly. The NPS survey asks the standard 0 to 10 question with an optional comment, and you can switch on an AI follow-up that asks about the answer. It appears from a floating corner button on your site, inline on a page, at a plain link, or through an email campaign on Pro, which includes 500 invites a month. Every response records the page it came from, a sentiment and a short summary. The reason to pick Shapo over a pure NPS tool is the other end of the score: the same account runs your testimonial forms and review widgets, so a promoter can become a testimonial on your site without a second vendor.
It is not for everyone. Shapo does not send SMS, has no in-app SDK for mobile apps, and does not do enterprise account-level NPS. The free plan has one survey that keeps collecting every response and shows you the first 10. Pro is $29 a month and makes every response readable across unlimited surveys. Our guide to collecting NPS on your website walks through the setup.
- NPS from a floating button, inline on a page, at a link or by email campaign
- Optional comment and AI follow-up question
- Testimonial forms, widgets and a Wall of Love in the same tool
How likely are you to recommend us to a friend?
5.Refiner
Best for in-app NPS for SaaS and mobile apps- Free plan:
- 25 responses a month
- Paid from:
- $149/mo for 5,000 monthly active users
Refiner targets product teams that want to ask users inside the app, with user segmentation on every paid plan. Paid plans include unlimited responses and price by monthly active users instead: Essentials starts at $149 a month for 5,000 users, or $1,490 a year. A 30-day trial is capped at 100 responses, after which the account drops to a free plan with Essentials features and 25 responses a month. For a SaaS product with a large user base, the MAU pricing can work out cheaper than paying per answer.
- Web app, website, email and link surveys
- Native iOS and Android SDKs, plus React Native and Flutter
- Unlimited responses on paid plans
6.SatisMeter
Best for simple in-app NPS for SaaS- Free plan:
- 25 responses a month
- Paid from:
- $199/mo (1,000 responses)
SatisMeter does one thing: NPS and similar short surveys inside a web or mobile product. Every plan, including the free one, gets all features, and the only thing that changes is the response allowance. Free covers 25 responses a month, and Growth is $199 a month for 1,000 responses and around 10,000 active users. It is a clean choice for a SaaS team that wants in-app NPS without learning a larger platform.
- Web, in-app, email, iOS and Android
- Every feature on every plan, including the free one
- Billed on responses received, not surveys sent
7.Zonka Feedback
Best for SMS, WhatsApp and kiosk surveys- Free plan:
- 14-day trial
- Paid from:
- Custom quote, based on responses
Zonka Feedback covers the widest set of channels on this list, including SMS, WhatsApp, kiosk and offline surveys alongside email, website and an in-app SDK. That makes it a strong fit for businesses where customers turn up in person rather than log in. It also turns responses into cases with owners and resolution status. Pricing is by quote and based mainly on response volume, so you will need a sales call to compare it.
- Email, SMS, WhatsApp, website, in-app SDK and kiosk
- Offline mode for surveys without a connection
- Case management to route and resolve feedback
8.AskNicely
Best for multi-location service businesses- Free plan:
- No free plan or trial
- Paid from:
- Custom quote, from 500 responses
AskNicely is built around frontline teams: technicians, advisers and branch staff whose customers score them individually. Scores feed coaching and leaderboards, and the platform also handles review requests. It focuses on service industries such as pest control, accounting, healthcare, insurance and legal. Pricing scales with response volume from 500 responses, and the company says it does not offer a free trial because each setup is tailored to the customer's data feeds.
- Email, SMS, WhatsApp, QR code and mobile app surveys
- Coaching and leaderboards for frontline staff
- Review requests and reputation tools
9.CustomerGauge
Best for B2B account-level NPS- Free plan:
- No trial; paid pilots of 60 to 90 days
- Paid from:
- From $24K a year
CustomerGauge is for B2B companies that want NPS tied to accounts and revenue rather than to individual respondents. It calls this account-centric and revenue-based NPS, and every plan includes Salesforce, real-time alerts and closed-loop workflows. Plans start at $24K a year with unlimited surveys, users and integrations. There is no free trial, only paid pilots that usually run 60 to 90 days. If your board asks what NPS means for renewals, this is the tool built to answer that question.
- Account-centric and revenue-based NPS
- Unlimited surveys, users and integrations
- Salesforce integration on every plan
10.Contentsquare (Hotjar)
Best for website NPS tied to session replays- Free plan:
- 100 responses a month, 3 surveys at a time
- Paid from:
- $99/mo, or $79/mo billed yearly (500 responses)
Hotjar's surveys now live inside Contentsquare, and Hotjar's pricing page forwards there. Its NPS surveys run on your website, and each response links to the session replay, so you can watch what a detractor did before they scored you. The free plan is the most generous here at 100 responses a month, with 3 surveys or feedback widgets running at a time. The Voice of Customer Growth plan starts at $99 a month for 500 responses, or $79 on yearly billing. Pick it if you already use Hotjar or Contentsquare for analytics and your NPS question is about the site itself.
- NPS surveys and feedback widgets on your site
- Each response links to the session replay
- AI summaries and automatic tagging of comments
What about general survey tools?
SurveyMonkey, Typeform and Google Forms can all ask a 0 to 10 question. They work for a one-off survey. They are weaker for NPS as a routine, because the score, the trend and the follow-up with detractors are things you build yourself. If you plan to ask every quarter and act on the answers, a dedicated tool saves that work.
Which one to pick
Start with where your customers are. A logged-in SaaS product points to Refiner, SatisMeter or Survicate. A support-heavy business points to Simplesat. Customers who visit in person point to Zonka Feedback or AskNicely. A B2B company with account managers and revenue targets points to CustomerGauge. If the plan is to email your list the way Delighted did, Retently is the closest match.
If you are a small business or a SaaS team that wants the score on your own site or by email, and wants the 9s and 10s to turn into testimonials, Shapo does both in one account and starts free. Teams moving off Delighted can follow our Delighted migration guide. If you exported a CSV from Delighted before it closed, keep it: it is your only baseline for comparing the new scores with the old ones.
