Google Reviews Widget for Shopify

Adding your Shapo widget to a Shopify website is easy, whether you're using the latest Online Store 2.0 themes or the older Vintage themes. Follow these steps to get your Google reviews widget up and running on your Shopify store.

Add Shapo Widget to a Specific Page (Online Store 2.0)

‍

1. Open Your Website's Visual Editor Sign in to your Shopify admin panel, and navigate to Sales Channels → Online Store:
2. Click the Customize Button
3. Include a Custom Liquid Section on the Designated Page
   • When accessing the visual editor, the default page that appears is the homepage. To choose a different page, locate it in the dropdown list at the page's upper section.
   • Click on "Add Section" and choose "Custom Liquid" or "Custom HTML".
4. Paste the Shapo Widget Code to the Code Field
   • Paste the Shapo embed code into the code field.
   • Click "Save" to apply your changes.
5. Now navigate to the page to see the widget!

Add Shapo Widget to a Specific Page (Vintage Themes)

Vintage themes are all Shopify themes that use the previous architecture, which was replaced by Online Store 2.0 in July 2021.

1. Open Your Website's Visual Editor Log in to your Shopify website's backend, go to Online Store → Themes, and select Customize:
2. Include a "Custom Content" Section on the Desired Page
   • When you access the visual editor, the default view is the homepage. To choose a different page, simply locate it in the dropdown list located at the top of the page.
   • Click on "Add Section" and choose the Custom Content section from the list.
3. Paste the Installation Code
   • If needed, click on extra sections of the Custom Content block and click the Remove block button.
   • Press the Add Block button and choose the Custom HTML option.
   • Paste the widget installation code into the HTML field, set the Container width to 100%, and Save the changes.
